That boy was his pride and joy. What a horrendous blow.
I have such a hard time believing these allegations are true. Eric went to Mass every day. No one in that business shows a better example. If his son began to believe the allegations and his shame became overbearing it could’ve been more than he thought he could take.
If Eric was set up, his revenge could be immense. If he did the deeds, his remorse would be overwhelming and devastating to his marriage and his future.
I will pray for them.

Maybe Eric was seeking intently for God and doing it in the best way he understood how.

If evangelicals are to extend the hand of the Lord to seeking people in such a way that it offers a consoling hug and not a slap in the face, they may need to learn better manners. The divine manners of God, in fact.

I’m sure there is more back story to the tragedy of his son than this. I can feel it in my bones.
