If handled right this could have gone straight to Obama. That is probably true, and maybe that IS the whole reason they don't investigate. My opinion is, that Obama ordered her to do it, and they don't want to open THAT Pandora's box, and be forced to prosecute him.

So why doesnt President Trump either order Sessions to reopen this investigation or fire him? If the President wanted it done, it would be done. Politically, he can't fire him after half even the Repubs in the House threatened war on Trump if he did. He also doesn't want to be seen trying to influence justice. Trump is stuck in a hole politically surrounded by enemies. Best he can do is complain on Twitter and ask why Hillary, et al are not being pursued while he is subjected to a witch hunt.
Senate committee is going to subpoena Sessions and Wray on why the FBI/DOJ are refusing to turn over the Comey memos to the committee and I hope Sessions and Wray don't refuse as I am very interested in hearing why Trumps interests are being stonewalled by his own appointees.

>>Sessions has been bought.
The only question is when did it happen and who is behind it
Either bought or warned that if he attempts to prosecute any active or former Deep State felons he and/or his family could suffer very serious consequences.

Bingo - and no sitting president wants to look like he’s going after a predecessor - it appears petty and sets him up for retribution when he leaves office - that a lot of the corruption from the past looks as though it is going to skate may be because Trump doesn’t want to open an investigation that could ultimately put Obama in jeopardy.....
To: be-baw
He needs to step down. So Trump van get a real Attorney General that will go after corruption in high places.. IE Hillary..

Somehow we have to make these "conservatives" more afraid of us than they are of the bribers and blackmailers who really run things in this country.

I disagree. Sessions has shown he is weak and not up to the job. Personally I think Trump wanted to fire him but pressure from the Swamp wouldnt let him.
I'm sure Trump is brave enough to stand up to the Swamp. Hell, he repeatedly told us so last year and the year before.
I'm betting that Trump just doesn't care.
To: LeoTDB69
Of course he can. He’s at war with those people anyway, presumably.
Stop making excuses.

Trump needs the support of a strong AG. When he realized how weak Sessions was he communicated his disappointment. Congress became hysterical and said if he was thinking about firing Sessions, think again. They would not approve his replacement.

Why was Sessions tough as a senator?
To: Fantasywriter
Again, Trump is his boss. If he wanted it done, it would be done. He can fire Sessions any time.

Who would confirm Sessions’ replacement if Trump fires him? The Uniparty already vowed they wouldn’t.

Keep appointing people. Eventually, they get confirmation fatigue.

Give them one of their own members, such as Trey Gowdy, for example.
