We came very close to buying a home in Bradenton two years ago. Now we’re pretty happy we didn’t. Sounds like renting for a few months in the winter would be the smart thing to do.
Renting in the summer is a very good idea alot of people do that and don’t forget hotels they do monthly rates. I didn’t know till we got down here it is a big thing and someone else does all the cleaning...
There won’t be anything to rent for a couple years.
We had reservations on Anna Maria Island for a couple weeks in Nov.
Now the storm surge forecast looks like there won’t be an Anna Maria Island. Or not much left.

Ditto — we seriously considered North Ft. Myers or Punta Gorda. Could be ground zero. Sure glad we didn’t buy.
