Irma travelled across a Bay along the Cuban coast. Then the eye contacted land again on the western side of Bay and it took a jog or bounce NW. Will see if that was just a dead cat bounce or the real move NW beginning.
Not a “bounce”. The eye is (or was) 35 miles wide. Let’s see if the center goes further inland drawn that way by pressure variance.
I’ve been watching hurricanes for years, and it seems like the eye will stay over water if it’s possible.
