Yes, but MY POINT is that no hurricane in recorded history has ever made a hairpin turn and went up the gut, in a near straight-line trajectory, in a specific direction, of a state or geographical area.
Matthew in 2016 may be the closest, as it ravaged the east-central coast of FL. But that trajectory was already there for it to do that.
Your point was also that it would go into the gulf and then away from FLA
BTW I would prefer that to up the gut in FLA or long the west side
Maybe make land fall in somewhat less populated shore in ALA MISS etc and then inland with rapid weakening
