Small quite town Hammock, south of St Augustine and north of Dayton...look up Hammock Dunes...
“and I do love the ocean. Preferably with mountains right next to it. :-)”
Cadillac Mountain in Maine will do it-——a teeny, weeny mountain,though.:-)

That would be the best of both worlds but I am not going to California for it... LOL
LOL!
It’s incredible to watch ... and accident waiting to happen!
my very near future rides on when turn happens - later is better than sooner
The eye appears to be outside the Cuban Keys now. It had been following the Keys on a WNW heading.
WAtched web cam where different ones stood on a deck like projections to have photos taken and/or horse around in front of the waves.....one arrogant idiot paraded around like r. Fearless..... surge came over the two levels and nailed him a good one.....He got totally wiped out!....Like a typical Liberal he walked away like that didn’t just happen!....I checked the chat to see what the response was and they’re all loosing it.....it was hilarious and also stupid! They’re going to clip it and put it on Reddit....

Surge related flooding on Key Largo already maybe.
It’s definitely heading WNW but a big turn not showing yet. Hang in there and keep us posted.
Oh yes!....was watching that very cam about 30 minutes ago and watched an idiot get totally wiped out acting like Mr. Fearless......he got nailed good....never saw it comming! That was as good as seeing the snowflakes cry when Hillary lost I tell ya!
I am very ready! I have my cats pet carrier out and she looked at me very frightened. I am trying to act nonchalant and she wonders why I have been running all over the house putting things in containers. I will go to my sisters in Zellwood and hunker down. Stay safe!
I would love it there. Snow, too!

I’m sure I’d love Maine. My mother was a Maine-iac.
And the older I get, the more it is clear that where ever on the globe a person may be, one brings one’s happiness (or the reverse) with them in the heart.
Good luck to you, WorkerbeeCitizen. I’m in Colorado, so won’t clutter the thread with many posts—just want to say my prayers are up for all FReepers in Irma’s path, and thanks for this terrific thread. I feel I know much more from being on the thread than from any TV news. Bless you all.
