“I’d be pulling my kid out of that school so fast”
The majority of the people I know may be upset with the communist indoctrination and nanny state control of the school system, but there is no way they could opt out. They simply can’t afford it.
A former fifth grade teacher told me the school system sent them all an email telling them that if they had a social media page and they said something that generated a complaint they would most likely be fired. At least they were up front about it.

It can be done but for many it would require a complete change of lifestyle which they haven’t the conviction to do.
