If you read any political commentary over the last few weeks, you probably heard that Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake has problems. Hes in a feud with a president from his own party. His primary challenger led him in a recent poll. He may have trouble winning the general election in 2018 (if he makes it that far). His state has a large and growing Hispanic population -- which makes it a constant target for Democrats. The list goes on.
So how much do these problems matter? Is Flake really in danger of losing his seat? Its hard to answer these questions this far out from the midterms and with the little polling available. But we can get an early assessment of the race by looking at his advantages, his disadvantages and how much power he has to change each aspect of his situation. Specifically, Im going to examine Arizonas state-level politics, Flakes own political choices and the Trump effect.

RINO’s are Democrats pretending to be Republican, in a red state.
I think someone has some major dirt on Ryan.
There aren’t enough Mormons in Chandler to save him....Hello Senator Ward....
Hey! Hey! Ho! Ho! Jeff Flake has got to GO!
Y_S. I’d like to solve the puzzle.
Is Jeff Flakes Re-election in Jeopardy?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It better be if we want to keep our country.
The Amnesty Senators Must GO!
Corker, Hatch, Heller and Flake in 2018
Graham and Alexander in 2020
Murkowsky, Hoeven and Rubio in 2022
Lots of House Cheap Labor Express Republicans in 2018
I hope he’s in jeopardy.
“Hope so. But Id really like to see Paul Ryan lose HIS seat. Its even worth it flipping dem to take him out.”
Flipping a Senate seat is a fairly big deal, which is why I’m not taking lightly my upcoming vote against Cruz next November (when he’s up for re-election).
But in the House - if the guy is a shitbag - let the Dems have the seat, in exchange for an open vote on the next Speaker. A freshman Dem cannot do NEAR THE DAMAGE in the House as a turncoat Republican Speaker - as we all know.
If flake gets primaried off the Republican ticket, he will just do the chickensheet move that murkowski and cochrane pulled when it happened to them. They just got back on the general ballot via petition and ran third party, enlisting the ethnics and dems to vote for them in order to spoil Tea Party insurgencies. And the bitches both won.
We now know that is a problem endemic to the Senate, not so much in the House. We need some state laws preventing primary losers from getting on the General ballot.
This guy wanders in a circle and finally concludes that Flake DOES have a problem.
One can only hope so but I have little faith in the Az voter.
Is Jeff Flake’s Re-election in Jeopardy?
Certainly hope so!
“do the chickensheet move that murkowski and cochrane pulled when it happened to them. “
Good chance of that. In Murkowski’s case the GOP helped her A LOT twisted rules, the works and defeated the party’s primary winner. He was a
good conservative they sabotaged him and at every turn. In the short term Look for Soros and Mitch get on or two more pretenders into the primary to split the base.
About eight years' worth, I'd say...
Jeff comes from a long line of flakes.
Last poll was Aug. Kelly Ward (R) had a 10 pt lead.
