Understand your point but adults are above the age of consent and willfully broke the law. They must go back. The kids younger than 16 or some age threshold just went with the parents and had little choice in the matter. One could say once they became adults then they WERE of the age of consent and continued breaking the law by staying here. I see that.
I suspect Trump sees this as a bargaining chip for something else or he would not have thrown out the challenge to Congress to act on DACA. If Trump wanted to just round them up too then why would Trump make the pitch to Congress to act on DACA? Trump wants to use this to cut some deal IMO.
Most of them are adults and should return to their home countries with their illegal alien parents. We wouldn’t want to break up families.
If there is a deal, it better include lower legal immigration levels and strict enforcement on ALL other illegal aliens, not just those caught and convicted of crimes. They ALL must commit multiple crimes daily.
OR, Trump puts the GOP on notice that he's tired of their sniping and throws them a poison pill that only the most hard core leftist GOP members would swallow.
