One group of negotiators spent all day Sunday working on the labour file, according to a schedule of the talks obtained by The Globe and Mail. One source familiar with the discussions said Canada wants the United States to pass a federal law stopping state governments from enacting right-to-work legislation; the source said the United States has not agreed to such a request.
Canada believes that lower labour standards in the United States and Mexico, including right to work, give those countries an unfair advantage in attracting jobs.

I guess they don't have an OSHA in Canada.
Canada is not in a position to make demands. LOL!
I guess the Canucks miss the obvious solution - if right-to-work is an advantage, then maybe they should adopt it.....
Let me explain something to you. This is one of those “demands” that will be given up as negotiations progress. Even Little Pierre is smart enough to know this “demand” is impossible on its face.
Trudie doing his globalist job.
Right to work does not reflect lower working standards, however, it does mirror one of our esteemed images of personal FREEDOM—whether to belong to a union and pay union dues, or not.
Note to our good neighbors up North: Guys, your government and negotiators have gone off the deep end. Y’all might wanna have a word with them.
Poor Canada. But, they voted in the girliemen.
They have Oshawa though...
My govenrment needs to get bent.
Anyone want to adopt western Canada? We have all the resources and we’re by and large very conservative.
Thanks for posting. This is good to watch because unions are so 1930s.. I call them union slavery states. Wonder what the businessman front union slavery state of ny will do?
Fixed it.

This is exactly why it was right to pull out of the TPP.
The use of trade treaties to say “you agreed to this trade treaty, now over-write your laws because we don’t like them, because of the treaty”.
While the “right to work” is what is discussed in this article, their government also wants to push “gender equity” and other issues via the treaty.
When Ontario passed a bill that says you will use their pronouns or go to civil tribunals that don’t recognize presumption of innocence or due process, can order you to do anything short of jail and you get sent to courts that can send you to jail if you disobey ... this is backdoor implementation of social justice warrior demands if we let them use a trade treaty to alter our laws.
Canada, sorry but as a federation of states, the states have the law if they want to be a right to work states, not the federal government. Why not try it...?
