'Basket of Deplorables' Head to Houston
The Remnant ^ | September 4, 2017

Let this sink in for a minute...

Hundreds and hundreds of small boats pulled by countless pickups and SUVs from across the South are headed for Houston. Almost all of them driven by men.

They're using their own property, sacrificing their own time, spending their own money, and risking their own lives for one reason: to help total strangers in desperate need.

Most of them are by themselves. Most are dressed like the redneck duck hunters and bass fisherman they are. Many are veterans. Most are wearing well-used gimme-hats, t-shirts, and jeans; and there's a preponderance of camo. Most are probably gun owners, and most probably voted for Trump.

“That was so great. Rednecks are the best!!”

Yes, they are, and you are seeing the difference when you compare what is being done in Texas to what was done in NOLA after Katrina. All the folks, irrespective of color have banded together to fix Houston, whereas with NOLA the “residents sat helplessly” pleading for someone to “help” With the notable exception of Black politicians like Wm “Cold Cash” Jefferson, who commandeered a military vehicle so he could “rescue” a lot of cash from his home freezer, and Ray “Chocolate City” Nagin the feckless mayor of NOLA. Thankfully, both are in jail or have been until recently. Go Texas! Show the country that you really are who you say you are!

BTW, my dear wife rounded up a pickup truck load of donated clothing, bedding, etc., and we took it over to a trucking company in South San Francisco for shipment to the Houston area this morning. She went door to door in our neighborhood and virtually everyone contributed. So you can say what you will about California, but I can tell you that there are lots of good people here in Danville.

We lived in Simi Valley for several years, and there are a lot of good people there, too. Surprisingly, the most traditional and fundamental church we’ve ever belonged to was there in California.

Hey, my cousin lives in Alamo, in a fancy house on the side of Mt. Diablo, and he is a leftist doosh!

Thank you for redeeming that part of California in our eyes. Not all of you people are dooshes.
