2) it is becoming increasingly likely that Florida will be hit
These developments deserve attention

I appoligize, I failed to send out to the Ping list in the first attempt- therefore this resubmission
Since I have family members in FLorida we’re all watching this carefully. They are already prepped should Irma hit the coast.
Florida Plan A: Hay for the horses, beer for the frige, gas for the stuff, already got ammo...
A cat 5 going through islands is bad, no place to evacuate. Hope they have some good shelters.
Considering there have been three cat 5 hits, it is unlikely Irma will be another. None of those three had Cuba interaction. The 1935 hurricane managed to thread the needle in the Florida Straits. The odds of that happening again, while nonzero, are tiny. The Andrew track is precluded with current models and this is obviously not another Camille.
I have a cousin who recently moved from Gainsville to Key West, and another in New Smyrna Beach. I think the first one is crazy.
Crazy blends in quite well in Key West, should be no problem.
Mine brother is in Jacksonville, which is always a toss up....but last year they lost their fencing and a tree....generally they just get the heavy rains etc. Ira looks to be a bad one so glad they’re already prepped.
Key West....I’d be out of there if it looks to land!
Crazy but not in a Robins Williams good way, or a Travis Bickle bad way. Crazy in a feckless and irresponsible liberal way.
Thanks for the ping, TIK!
Actually, I have two cousins in Key West, brothers. One has his shit together and I am not worried about him. It’s the older brother, who has a wife and a kid. I hope little brother watches out for him.
Our Texas family members are already recovering from Harvey. We also have family members in Cumming and Çolumbus Georgia, so chances are they will be all right. We have family members in Bradenton, Lakeland and Orlando. I’m worried about them.
Mr. mm and I have a trip planned to FL in November on the Gulf coast.
I sure hope it’s not hit. If the hurricane goes up the Gulf to the west of FL, the bad side of the storm will rake the entire coast.
It will not be good.
For that matter, no matter where this monster hits, it will not be good.
Agreed. I hope you have good weather!
Thank you, T I K.
