We need a new speaker.
And now we have the hammer to get it. I can’t wait to ask my GOP rep if he supports DACA and Amnesty Ryan. Going be a fun six months. LOL.
Kurt sure nails it.....and them! The elitists need a stake driven thru their hearts, garlic isn’t enough because they are used to stinking.
My one quibble with this piece is the author’s description of four political parties in this country. I believe there are really only three ... #1 and #3 in his list are the same.
“...their high-minded dedication to conservatism is all a fraud. Its not about principles or the Rule of Law. Its only about holding on to power theirs.”...
One need not read beyond that point. Kurt nailed it for sure!
Ryan and McConnell have to go. They are like tits on a bull, useless.

Makes me think. Didn’t ole Joni Earnst campaign on castrating hawgs? Now, she has been castrated.
The only thing these self-styled “true conservatives” are trying to conserve is their own power.
Excellent article. Ryan and his speeches remind me of Bill “ crocodile tears” Clinton who would turn them on whenever he saw a camera or an audience he could try to fool
We need a new congress and abolishment of most federal agencies.
Pfl...

The phraseTRUE CONSERVATIVE has proven to be worthless and even a warning sign for conservative voters.

When your moniker conveys NO meaning (conserve. Converse what? 80’s America? 60’s America? 50’s? 20’s?
How do you jive ‘conservatives’ whom love ‘em some MediXYZ? Welfare? Social Security? ‘Gun control’?
Sorry, FRiend, but the ‘right’ has lost EVERY battle of the language. They gave up ‘liberal’, destroyed the (R) brand...hell, even made ‘em commie RED instead of BLUE.
Be that 60yrs+ of ignorance on debating/ideals or purpose, the electorate are fools to follow in either case.
Unfortunately, too much technology will allow the majority to escape should the People finally, rightfully revolt. For it sure isn’t the elite/connected that are\will be suffering and poor.
Conservative.

It seems that the organized crime politicians in DC are of one mind against We The People that put them into office. We the people are a diverse group unlike DC crime family. We are the silent majority, conservatives, Catholics, Baptists and the other denominations. We are moral, hard working tax payers which the DC crime family continually rob.

The (R) ‘leadership’ and party officials could NEVER give such a coherent, concise speech such as this...
Schlichter, Mark Steyn and Larry Elder are three writers I always read.
The author doesn’t like Paul Ryan. Fine. There are two remedies:
1. If he lives in Wisconsin CD1 he can vote against him. Ryan will likely win re-election next time in an even bigger landslide than the last when Paul Nehlen challenged him. Why? Because the good Republicans of CD1 love him. This is one of the strongest Republican districts in Wisconsin.
2. If you want him out as Speaker, talk to the all-except-Congressman Massie who voted to put him in that job that last time they had the chance.
I’m sick of reading thread after thread that are nothing more than whining and wishful thinking. Anyone who wants to actually DO something about it, read points 1 and 2 above. Otherwise, shut the hell up about Ryan!
While the transformation started with Algore's reinventing government and the move towards "privatizing" government functions - yeehaww! the bottom feeders screamed - the real cash-in came with GWB, Cheney, DHS and the war on Iraq.
The winning trifecta - the coalition of globalism, crony capitalism and socialism - may to some extent have started as a marriage of convenience, but it expanded to the glory that has become the greater DC metropolitan area.
You want to add money for defense to acquire some new capability? Go ahead, but the annual growth in the DC consultancy business will now absorb anything you can throw at it.
DC is a cancer.
The founders, by eliminating a monarch (one who by hereditary right represented the *state*, who could dispassionately reset the *government* if/when needed), built constitutional rules to achieve - what they believed at the time to be effective - the same effect. But, as Adams, Franklin and others warned, and as generations have now observed/experienced, laws don't work when the rules themselves are corrupt(ed).
When a government becomes so entrenched that it learns to use the law to their advantage in order to perpetuate power & control, then it becomes evident that a deus ex machina moment has arrived. Jefferson noted its the right of the people to choose their own government - Trump is that choice, and only he can do what needs to be done.
BTTT
A very good article.
Next time some GOPe/NeverTrumper starts talking about principles, ask them which principles? Just as the Left can’t articulate why they hate President Trump, the so-called Conservatives can’t articulate principles beyond “you know”.
As for four parties, I contend that there are two parties - those in Versailles on the Potomac plus their supporters and the rest of us. Taxation without representation is tyranny.
