Have not read that yet. Interesting concept, but suspect mostly concept at this point. As far as I know, no one has demonstrated, tested or in combat an EMP weapon. To me this is about on par with Y2K. I’ll give you that loss of electricity in a big city like New York or Los Angeles or Chicago, which are barely civilized anyway, would be devastating, I don’t think others would be as immediately impacted. Our biggest threat would be the first week or two going through Internet withdraw. We’d be a country of very irritable people.
Next on your reading list should be "One Year After"
and it shows the loss of loved ones, and some innovative and ingenious modifications people had to make.
It is a postapocalyptic thriller where communities had to deal with an over-reaching government.
I just received a copy of the last of the trilogy :" The Final Day" by Forstchen, but haven't cracked it open yet.
