Let’s face it...we are screwed here....we move on him he takes out Seoul before we can subdue them.
Trump issued the real threat earlier - we could consider ending trade with ANY economy that trades with North Korea.
U.S. manufacturers can shift production from China if they need to (for their imports to the U.S.), and China needs its exports to the U.S. far more than the U.S. needs exports to China. China can also get better foreign currency to add to its foreign reserves, selling elsewhere, than what it gets from exports to North Korea.
It would be a tragic mistake to make a limited response to whatever NK does. If we have to move, the goal has to be annihilation of the ruling party and reunification of Korea.
Thousands in Korea would be dead....including a lot of Americans.
There already is a threat.
************
And it growing more difficult to deal with everyday. Like most problems, the longer it takes to correct them the harder they are to fix.
But at what cost?
Yep, China risks $648 billion in US trade for $2.6 billion with North Korea. India is similarly challenged. Surprising that these two enemies are North Korea’s biggest trading partners.
So your suggesting we wait until its the entire west coast ?
Weak my hind foot, watch John Roberts reaction just after
I’m waiting for the old war whore McCain’s statement. He has to wait for Trumps so he can denounce it whatever it is.
Agreed, not partial responses. If we respond militarily it needs to be immediate, total annihilation. Minimize the risk to any American lives. Give North Korea no chance to respond.
Yes. Take him out as at act of war. Of course, if Trump did that he’d be impeached. So, what is the solution? How ‘bout we look the other way while SK takes Kim out.
Yes, he seemed taken back, absolutely shocked.
Will it hurt for awhile ? Yes. But weather or not people see it, we are at war with NK.
If McCain had his way, we would have nuked the Norks long ago.
Agreed. I think it was a strong statement.
“Surprising that these two enemies are North Koreas biggest trading partners.”
National industrial interests and not geopolitical reasons are why India trades what it does with North Korea. Recently though (May) India banned all trade with North Korea other than wood and medicine. I imagine they could make up for those if they needed to.
Agreed. Stop all trade from China IMMEDIATELY. Stop it at the ports. Make case to American people that buying from China is aiding and abetting our enemy, North Korea.
Absolutely correct. We need to make this China’s biggest problem and force them financially to see that if they don’t solve this by tomorrow they will be in a world of Obama.
