Judges 10
10 Then the sons of Israel cried out to the Lord, saying, We have sinned against You, for indeed, we have forsaken our God and served the Baals. 11 The Lord said to the sons of Israel, Did I not deliver you from the Egyptians, the Amorites, the sons of Ammon, and the Philistines? 12 Also when the Sidonians, the Amalekites and the Maonites oppressed you, you cried out to Me, and I delivered you from their hands. 13 Yet you have forsaken Me and served other gods; therefore I will no longer deliver you. 14 Go and cry out to the gods which you have chosen; let them deliver you in the time of your distress. 15 The sons of Israel said to the Lord, We have sinned, do to us whatever seems good to You; only please deliver us this day. 16 So they put away the foreign gods from among them and served the Lord; and He could bear the misery of Israel no longer.
[And then, of course, God sent a great warrior to lead them into peace. ONLY after they repented.
Praying for the hearts and minds of the survivors that they may be turned from stone to flesh and that their eyes and ears may be opened.
That as the flood waters overcame the city, the Holy Spirit will be permitted to pour over our nation and we will turn our lives back to God. That our laws will be changed and not promote the abominations that He hates because the people have learned that His laws are laws of true love, health, wisdom, and joy! JOY! Not hopelessness and despair. All because the lovingkindness of the Lord is everlasting.
May the people of Texas find joy and restoration in the LORD God Almighty. May they sing,
“I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart;
I will tell of all Your miracles.
I will be glad and exult in You;
I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.”
Amen
Father God, we lift up the people in Texas and Louisiana, and all those who have assisted them. I echo hudlah’s heartfelt prayer, that hearts will be softened to receive Your Holy Spirit. May those in rebellion be healed, may the land be healed, and may this be a time to magnify Your love, Your mercy and Your glory.
