What was he like then? Did you know him? He is among my very very favorite Michiganders.
I saw a Texas license plate in Gaylord the other day and left a note on the windshield upon which I wrote "God Bless Texas". We see a lot of Texans here in the summer and they say it is the number one state from which people move to Michigan.
Bill was a nice guy in high school ... ran with the jocks but wasn’t a d*ckhead about it. I played one season with him on the football team: he was the quarterback and I was a free safety. I left the team after my freshman year to concentrate on concert and marching band and orchestra. To the best of my memory, I believe that he also played on the baseball team as well.
