Well, I am impressed that so many of the old films that I love were included along with the irreverent 70’s and 80’s and onward films that slammed head on through the culture shift.

Some of my favorites that I would have thought were obscure cult favorites made the list, like Amarcord.
However, awful as they were, I've rarely laughed harder than in Dumb and Dumber or Ace Ventura, Pet Detective, but they didn't make the list. Also nearly wet the seat at Analyze This; again, no cigar.

Clearly these comedy experts are trying to be “cultured” in their assessments.
Whatever makes you laugh is the best comedy.
One of the gauges of a classic movie with good writing is whether or not you can have lines just roll out of your mouth. Everyone has their favorite movie, but when the lines become part of the culture...that is a classic.

They didn’t include “Twentieth Century”, one of the funniest movies ever made.
Big Trouble, Tim Allen, Renee Russo. Best comedy.
