Sick of this crap. The 2nd amendment is sacrosanct. It’s written in stone. The government cannot take it away from us, NOR BY INACTION, allow it to be taken away, particularly by those who identify so strongly with our Stalinists enemies overseas. Do something about it, Mr. President, please. Make an example of these SOBs!

“The government cannot take it away from us,....”

Well, good luck to them if they want to try. There are over 400 million guns in this country, with about 15-18 million being added yearly.

FYI, just to understand how difficult it would be, we just had a hurricane in Texas (y’all might’ve heard a bit about that). Well, it seems that some Army Sergeant accidentally drove his (rather large) Army truck into a ditch where it got filled to the gills with water...until a couple of redneck good ‘ole boys with monster trucks literally dragged the truck out of the ditch (tons of water and all). So, in Texas the civilians rescue the military. As an aside, those same good ‘ole boys (and all of their friends and family and neighbors) have more guns than you can shake a stick at. Many are vets, almost all are hunters who know how to track animals...and gut them, and dispose of the remains.

Yeah, let’s see the government just TRY to disarm Texas (or Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Arkansas, Oklahoma, etc., etc.). Ain’t gonna happen.

It's a given basic in contract law that when a primary condition of a contract is violated, negated or broken, that contract is then null and void. And the U.S. Constitution is a contract; if the Second goes, they're ALL gone, the first ten amendments comprising the Bill of Rights, the additional amendments, and the underlying constitution itself.

So it is perhaps very well worth remembering the introductory and explanatory clause of the Second amendment as much as the *meat* of it: A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

Those who are against the general arming of the American populace are thereby against the security of this free state. And that puts them on the top of the list of ...enemies, foreign and domestic... against whom I am sworn to defend the Constitution.

If *those people* want to engage in a *secret war* they can have one. But turn about is fair play.
