Several years ago, the Today Show was doing a live report about “severe flooding” in New Jersey after the northeast was hit with torrential rain. They had a reporter, Michelle Kosinski, sitting in a canoe in the middle of the street doing a report about the “heavy flooding” in Wayne NJ. As she’s speaking on camera from her canoe, two guys walk across the street in front her her, making it obvious that the water was only a few inches deep.
I remember that clearly and got a good laugh out of it. If I'm not mistaken, wasn't one of them carrying a case of beer too?
Before Harvey hit, the CNN, FOX and the Weather Channel reporters were reporting horrendous SIX INCH waves tearing up the shore. They were bracing themselves as if high winds were going to sweep them away at any second but the people behind them were walking along just fine and palm trees were barely waving. They were on the beach in Galveston talking about flooding already when if you can still see any beach at all it is perfectly fine because the seawall is behind the beach. The first night, again before anything major hit, the Weather Channel guy was standing in knee high water but then the camera panned just a wee bit showing dry land.
BTW, the Brazos River is pronounced as the “bra” in brat rather than bravo. You’d think they’d buy a clue when they interview locals who pronounce it correctly but the msm prove they don’t really listen to anyone but their own egos.
