Funny you should mention that. I thought of it too when I was writing my comment.

From what I heard; it didn’t really make a difference. The felons probably didn’t care one bit about politics.

I’m actually okay with some non violent felons getting their rights restored after they paid their debt to society. They couldn’t have hurt anyone financially, like stealing their nest egg, or swindled them out of their property; things like that. Maybe just dummies who steal from a store and get caught without incident; that kind of thing where no one is actually hurt by the crime. Or maybe someone who had a little more than a user amount of illegal drugs on them but obviously wasn’t some serious dealer but only if they only had one offense. More than one felony in two or more separate crimes; nope. No rights restored.

That governor (wasn’t it McCauliff) only did that for politics. His motivations were not noble or honorable.
