Well, we only have seen one comment in a vacuum. It might be possible this is the only stupid thing he has done, or he might have a track record of stupid things that have not gotten him fired before. I haven’t seen them in action yet but I heard them being praised on Fox. I’ve been watching a lot of preachers out and about saving people. It makes me burn to remember comments on The Guardian regarding the religious people of Texas when so many religious people are out saving the lives of people.
And hey! How about a shout out to toxic masculinity while we are at it? Those brawny guys lifting the little feminists into the boats?! While I’m sure there are some ladies out helping people, it’s been mostly guys on tv.
I think he deserved to be mocked, and I think it is ridiculous that he got fired for expressing his ignorant and stupid opinion.
