This is in Wisconsin, and is called the North Shore as it is the northern shore in that state. In actuality it is the south shore of Lake Superior. In Minnesota the North Shore refers to the stretch of Lake Superior from Duluth up to Grand Marais, MN.
I see articles posted here that often do not clarify where the place in the article is located. In this instance, at the end of the story, there is a reference to Wisconsin in the URL.
