I am neither black nor white, not mixed race. Both sets of grandparents immigrated legally from Mexico around 1910. I am a dark-skinned Hispanic, darker than most mulatto blacks.
I was taught from a very young age that all Republicans are country club white racists. I don’t know why my parents and extended family taught me that, they knew the white racists in the south were all Democrats. When I turned 18 my mom made sure that I registered to vote as a Democrat.
I stayed a registered Democrat for about 20 years. I left the party because the party leaders (including the Clintons) and the platform became too sickening and repugnant to me.
I’ve been a registered Republican since the early 90’s, I have never met a single Republican who ever behaved in a racist way. Never.

I love you and wish to marry you.
Unless you are a guy.
That’s a perfect example of why Hispanics aren’t a bloc in the sense that blacks are (voting 95%+ for Dems); there is much more variety in that group than the media would like to let on (they tried to fabricate a group). Your experience is similar to many Irish-Americans, with prior generations voting straight Democrat until the past few decades (as an anti-Christian message took over the party).
The Democrat policies regarding certain minorities are the most demeaning, racist policies possible, treating them as mentally deficient by way of genetics.
