I don't think America teaches children about the Puritan Work Ethic. Chicago Public Schools taught it in the 60’s and 70’s. I remember my third grade teacher, Mrs. Booth saying, “That is what made America strong.”
Now we are allowing our children to be taught nonsense by idiots who can't add.

Named or not, explicit or not, it permeates a subculture which is wildly successful and perpetuates that success by passing learned behavior on to their genetic offspring. Unfortunately, those not successful often confuse the behavior for the generic correlation.
