Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.) disagrees with President Trump's decision to pardon former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, The Wall Street Journal reported Saturday.
"The speaker does not agree with the decision," Ryan's spokesman Doug Andres told The Wall Street Journal. "Law-enforcement officials have a special responsibility to respect the rights of everyone in the United States. We should not allow anyone to believe that responsibility is diminished by this pardon."

Ryan = swamp scum
Ryan is a RINO’s RINO.
time to form a new party. i’m over these idiots.
Paul Ryan poses a danger to this country. I wonder what all is hiding in his closet?
“A prime example of someone promoted beyond his ability.”
Pretty much describes the vast majority of congresscritters.
We really do need mass production of guillotines.
Along with the courage to use them.
Politicians are disgusting people who will do anything to promote themselves. There are exceptions, but politics attracts those unfettered by principles. Principles and loyalties would just be a burden for them. Simple exercise. Sit down and write a list of those traits you think are necessary for survival and ‘success’ (whatever that means) for a politician. Not many things on that list are virtues, and the ones that are virtues are shared by few politicians. The only answers to this sad truth are very strict term limits and an absolute preclusion of career politicians and career bureaucrats.
WI-1st GOP voters nominated the wrong Paul. Hopefully they’ll go with Nehlen next time.
The RINOs are coming out from under their rocks to criticize President Trump for his pardon of Sheriff Joe.
The entire bunch are turncoats and leftists.
Coward.
Huh? Ryan is in Wisconsin.
You’re still thinking of “Boner.”
President’s pardon power is part of our judicial system.
The open borders lobby is pissed and is now calling for their bought and paid for mouthpieces to spout off.
Joe was obeying the US Constitution. Ryan agrees with a judge wo told Joe to disobey the law of the land.
.
Ryan was never with Trump, nor America.
.
Of course he does. I mean, far be it from Ryan to deprive the general prison population of their chance to have a go at a retired 85-year-old cop specializing in drug crime.
Ashamed I voted for this moron in 2012.
Long day...you’re right, of course. My son lived in WI before his job took him elsewhere, and that’s what I was thinking while my fingers typed.
