Funny you should mention Georgetown. A friend of mine and her husband just bought a house there to retire in. She drove down from the Seattle area and arrived there...yesterday.

At least they won’t get a taste of peak Texas summer heat until next year. It isn’t supposed to go over 85 degrees for the next 10 days.

Your friend should be fine. I’m to the west of there and only had a short light drizzly rain mid morning and that has stopped. It didn’t deter our cats or the neighbor kids from playing outside all morning. Austin seems to be at the edge of the system. The area to watch over the next few days is Houston.
