Police arrested a student in Milwaukee after he allegedly knocked a teacher unconscious and punched him repeatedly, according to a video of the incident released Tuesday.

WTMJ reports that the alleged incident took place at South Division High School in Milwaukee a week into the new school year.

The video, shot on a student’s cellphone, shows the 16-year-old student verbally confronting the teacher before knocking him down and pummeling him to the ground.

Subhuman should never be allowed anywhere near a school again. We put wild animals in cages. He needs to be locked in a cage.

If I had done something like that in my day I would have gotten four or five whippings. And that would be before my daddy opened up an extra large can of whoopass.

But I was raised to respect others and to respect those in authority over me, such as teachers.
If they were wrong that could be addressed later in a civilized manner.
Too many of today’s young people have never been schooled in manners or respect.

So will the school system suspend the teacher and put the student into extra help mentoring?

That, and possibly his school district has some kind of quota system that requires disciplinary actions to be distributed in direct proportion to the enrollment demographics. So, until 8 majority kids are suspended, no minorities will be...

Honestly, each and every educator shoul be given close quarters combat training.

The only they can be sucker punched like that is they never dealt with violence before. Should be qualified in a martial art before entering a classroom with people like this.

No training in the world can mitigate that punch. Unless there was a glitch in the video it was very fast and at almost arms length. If your chin can’t absorb that shot you’re done.

"He needs to be locked in a cage."

He will be locked in a cage and kept in one prison after another for the rest of his life at a cost to the tax-payer of about $100,000 per year.

But. . .they will be sued and jailed for physically resisting/fighting back.

Zero tolerance for fighting. . .except when the punk initiates the physical attack. . .then its all about peace, love and understanding towards the unfortunate yoot and the teacher/helper must be fired.

If the teacher had defended himself he’d be in jail.

Sure, with the punch coming and the victim unprepared, he’s down for the count.

With training and some sparring practice, you’d see the approach, the expression on his face, the proximity. You’d have your hands and stance where you needed them and you’d be ready to anticipate, block, and if necessary, aim a blow.

I’ve had some fighting experience in my life and some years ago I was caught by surprise and that was enough.

“if they suspend him how can he “learn”?”

He’ll learn. It just won’t be the ABC’s. It will be an opportunity to learn what happens when you choose consequences that are inconsistent with the law and what an intelligent person does to learn. And he should be expelled and forced to attend alternate schooling from a remedial education center post his jail time. He might learn from that. He might also learn that getting GED is not as strong as a high school diploma so he can get a shot at a college education or a decent job with wages higher than minimum wage.

This is what doing the right thing means. And if he can’t do any better than that, that’s on him.
