This idiot did himself NO favors, with his recent Trump bashing book tour. He cant retract that!
My theory is that he is willing to risk losing the primary in order to get cred with people with whom he wants cred. If he believes that Trump will flame out at some future date, he can portray himself as "the Prophet". He can always get a gig as "the conservative Republican analyst" at CNN or NPR.

Don’t forget, if Flake sends the correct ‘virtue’ signals, losing the election isn’t the end. He will ges to be the ‘conservative’ commentator on the MSM, find jobs in various lobbying groups, get positions on corporate boards, etc.
