New photos show the renovation of the White House is almost complete after two weeks
The Oval Office has new wallpaper and the Roosevelt Room and West Wing lobby new carpeting
The South Portico steps have also been renovated for the first time in more than 60 years
And much work was done to replace the White House's HVAC system, which was installed 27 years ago
Because it has run constantly since then, it had had the equivalent of 81 years of regular usage
There were also IT upgrades and general paint jobs - the latter of which continued Tuesday
Trump reportedly called the White House 'a real dump' to golfers at his New Jersey course this summer
However, he has strongly denied those claims after they emerged in the press
Donald Trump reportedly called the White House 'a real dump' this summer - that's a claim he later denied, but either way he'd be hard pressed to make such a remark now that a two-week-long renovation has wrapped up.
As seen in these photos, the exterior of the building, along with the Oval Office, Roosevelt Room and other areas of the West Wing have been given an overhaul.
But the real work went on beneath the building's floors and in its walls, as the ailing HVAC system was replaced, the heating system upgraded and IT infrastructure given a boost.
Despite the considerable work performed on the building, however, it's now a shining white as ever - and ready for the president to get back behind the Resolute Desk.

I’m sure had all the commodes changed out too
“Trump knows how to class things up and hes done a great job.”
Didn’t he bring over someone from the Washington Trump hotel to head up housekeeping/valet/butler?
I hope they got all the shoe prints and schitz stainz off of the Resolute desk.
The Mooch and 0Bozo made it a dump. It was in good shape before they started camping out there.
If I recall, that was from the Movie “From Russia With Love”.
007 had the booby trapped Briefcase in that one.
I had the Toy one (Mattel or Hasbro, can’t remember) when I was a kid. Also had the one from The Man From Uncle.
Their assumption seems to be that the a/c system is only designed to run 8 hrs. per day. A commercial system, is made to operate 24/7.

Well aware of commercial a/c operations with zones and set back timing, just couldn’t resist taking jabs at the Clintons and Obamas. Or Jimmy Carter with his infamously ineffective and phony WH Solar project.
Interesting bit of history in the link you provided. Grew up very near the Old Soldiers Home, passing it nearly every day.
Thanks for the link.
