I seem to remember that there were 50 ranchers in that valley and the Bundys were the only ones left.

If true, these people were forced off their own land, and this issue goes far beyond grazing fees on Bureau of Land Management administered land.

Didn’t Harry Reid want to build a solar “farm” on this land with some of his Chinese investors?

I always blamed it on agenda 21. But yep, he was the last rancher standing. And now he will be gone too.

Not totally true as I remember it.

A deal had been reached by Reid & Son with the ChiComs for some sort of solar project. However, it was to be on a tract of land somewhere else in the state. On that tract resided some type of tortoise that had Federal protection. In order for the deal to go through, a like sized piece of land in the state had to be set aside for this tortoise. The "Bundy Ranch" was actually being takenover in lieu of the land alloted for the ChiCom/Reid project.
