Hillary Clinton supporters still moaning about media coverage nearly 10 months later

Hillary Clinton's former campaign aides and other liberals who still lamenting the results of the 2016 election fired back at the New York Times on Monday for how the paper covered Clinton last year.

Times reporter Glenn Thrush was bombarded by critics on Monday when he shared a news article on Twitter about the Secret Service running out of money to pay its staff due to President Trump and his family's frequent traveling.

Thrush replied by publishing a series of tweets mocking the critique and pointed out other elements of Clinton's campaign that many political observers have said cost her the election.

"But hour-long speeches that should have been 10 minutes, but complacency, but Bernie, but generational apathy, but silly war with the media," he said in one message. "But why-do-we-need-to-go-to-Wisconsin, but setting up an email server in Chappaqua when you know the right-wing-conspiracy is out to get you," he said in another.

That didn't sit well with Clinton's supporters, who relitigated the campaign as they replied to Thrush.

Democratic activist Peter Daou replied to Glenn Thrush's tweet by accusing him of using "every stale mainstream narrative about 2016."

Joan Walsh, the liberal writer for the Nation magazine, compared the Times election coverage to the way the media covered the lead up to the war in Iraq.

"Seriously, the Times needs to hire an outside investigator to look at the 2016 election the way it did the run-up to Iraq War," she said. "Or else its best reporters will lose credibility in Twitter beefs trying to 'balance Times bad email coverage with Clinton flaws."

But Thrush's colleague Maggie Haberman said if the Times erred in its coverage, it's in that it didn't report on the Clinton campaign's dysfunction.

"The mess that campaign was was extremely undercovered pre-election," Haberman wrote

This is amazing.

The media, which lean so liberal, which were so hostile to Trump, and favorable to HIllary — those media are being criticized for not being favorable enough to Hillary?? And is the implication this is another reason/excuse for Hillarybots as to why their candidate lost an election??>

Does anyone else remember any other losing candidate — Romney, John McCain, John Kerry, Al Gore, Bob Dole, etc. ever going on a magical mystery tour afterwards, and continually coming up with reason after reason for the loss of the election?? And that any reasons given never acknowledged mistakes or errors or problems with that candidates own campaign???

The media’s coverage of Clinton last year only helped, not hurt her campaign. Had they honestly reported about Clinton’s campaign, Trump would’ve won 350+ Electoral votes.

Is this even in English?

Those who still support hilLIARy clintoon are cementing their legacy as mentally ill, self-loathing losers. It would be best for them if, instead, they spent their time and money seeking extreme electro-shock treatments for their serious malady.

Yes.

That’s exactly what this is. Pressure.
“You’re not doing enough. NYT, we don’t think you are really going to bat for the home team.”

I said it before, and I’ll say it again. These people have lost their wits. They just want balls out partisan reporting. They no longer want stuff that hedges toward impartiality. They no longer care about maintaining any semblance of journalistic credibility. They are DEMANDING a full tow on the party line. No slack, ever

Wow. This is amazing. These people think that the Times, Washington Post, CNN, etc. are not already cheerleaders for the liberal causes and the liberal Democrat party causes???

Amazing conclusions.......

And these same people bemoan Fox News for allegedly being so biased in the conservative direction...........

Dear Hillary Clinton and all her supporters,

You lost because you actually ran a TERRIBLE campaign, and the Establishment Media couldn't "paper over" all your innumerable political faults. The book Clinton Cash was particularly damaging because it exposed the Clinton Foundation/Clinton Global Initiative as the world's biggest graft scheme. And you never recovered by calling Trump supporters the basket of deplorables, a fatal political mistake in the eyes of any pollsters who bothered to do accurate polling.

Weren’t they lecturing Trump during the campaign that he’d better accept the results of the election, and that not to do so would be the epitome of being un-patriotic?
