Well, as far as the specific matter of how consequences of a “rapid exit” as “both “predictable and catastrophic”; it was as was predicted concerning Iraq. Obama and Maliki made no commitment to SOFA agreement for a major continued U.S. security & support presence, while Maliki invested more in securing military slots for his cronys killing what new professionalism we had built with it, and going out of his way to anger the Sunnis of Iraq in the process - creating the military and political opportunities to resurrect itself from a near zombie state to a force that could over-run major Iraqi cities. A rapid exit and after 2011 Iraq went from a stable internal security situation to large swaths controlled by ISIS. THAT is what Trump was referring to and the reference was accurate.
