That’s one place, frankly, instead of going to Iraq we probably should have gone there first. I would say in Afghanistan and only, again, because of its location next to Pakistan.

If you find fault with what Trump is saying: FU, this is man that is doing all he can to make America great again.

As I stated earlier his base who got Trump the election with over 300 EV KNOW he didn’t cause or lose a war if he decided to retreat, because that was one of his campaign promises and one of the things people voted for and now he’s reversed it.

I agree that 44 was a disaster and I don’t want either the strategy or tactics announced. However, I do want the objective/goal clearly announced. You are welcome to trust anyone you want. Like Reagan said, “Trust but verify.”
If he had pulled out of Afghanistan I would have cheered for promise made and promise kept. More importantly, we still have the option of bombing the bad guys by our drone pilots from Creech airforce base rather than getting shot at in Kandahar.
You seem to be oblivious to the various interests that want to keep the war going.....they have neither America’s true security nor its political prestige at heart....it is just a cynical marketing wrapper to keep the $50 billion/year gravy train flowing....

Alexander the Great couldn’t conquer it 2350 years ago, Genghis Khan gave up, the Brits gave up, the Russian’s gave up. It’s not worth the effort and the Afghanis don’t want anyone there. We should cut our losses, kill as many Taliban as is possible as a punitive act, and then just abandon it.

We might have a little more going for us than Alexander The Great did. And Genghis Khan? Seriously? You might have a point with Russia, but we absolutely CAN conquer them.
Don’t be down over the attacks. Conservatives do that best feed on their own when one steps out of line. I too wish he’d keep his promise. We do not in no way need to continue the same ol same ol. We certainly need to pull out.
