At least one law enforcement officer in Charlottesville, VA has come forward to clear his conscience and reveal the truth — or at least his version of it — that what went down in the city was not only condoned by city governance but was intentional, orchestrated and may have been planned as long ago as May.
The as-yet unidentified police officer has said that the Charlottesville P.D. were specifically instructed to bring the radical left and right wing groups together to instigate violence and then to told to “stand down” once violence ensued in a deliberate effort to ignite a race riot. If the big goons are after and setting up Trump, his actions will be geared to take out those low lifes. He might take some actions that are very questionable until the truth comes out.

This was the state police under the control of the Governor. So McAsshole had complete control of the police actions Charlottsville doesn’t have enough riot police.
In a riot situation the police are acting as a military unit. If they are told to stand down they will.
Because I blame McAuliffe for the violent clash between the two groups? Anyway, I drink iced decaf ...

So our only difference is that you don’t think cops stood down on their own but it was McAuliffe’s doing? I think it was “higher up” than that, but we are agreed basically.
But “lower-downs” sometimes do things on their own and it is because of the “who will rid me” syndrome. They know what their masters are thinking and act like good little slaves.
I don’t think the cops on Martha’s Vineyard even knew we were going to be there. They just acted like the lefties they knew they were supposed to be.
