The 1970 eclipse went right through the town I grew up in in eastern NC. The center line pasted about 5 miles west of me.

Wow, cool! I remember that eclipse. I was here in CT. I remember my parents constantly telling me "Don't look at it! Go in the house." (I do remember seeing it somehow though)

Was there another total/partial eclipse in the US in the 1960s?
