How much tourism money is generated by reenactments? I know, as a Civil War buff, that I’ve spent money in southern states while looking at various memorials, statues and cemeteries.
I knew a Civil War reenactor who insisted people call him “Major.” That stopped when an elderly friend of mine, a vet of WWII, took him down.
And what are WWII re-enactors? Shinto warriors trying to win WWII?
