Ironically, it is the political class in general who are not fit for office - the vast majority of them. They've proved it themselves, over years and years of incompetence. There is little question that the country would be run infinitely better if we just randomly picked names and fully replaced everyone every four years. Career politics attracts narcissists who are often not very talented. On either side of the aisle they hate Trump because his very presence in office, and every success he has, diminishes them and exemplifies how pathetic and unqualified the political class is. They would hate any outside candidate who didn't suck up to them, irrespective of that person's politics.
