Axios reports:
Axios’ Jonathan Swan hears Bannon has told friends he sees a massive opening to the right of Fox News, raising the possibility that he’s going to start a network.
Bannon’s friends are speculating about whether it will be a standalone TV network, or online streaming only.
Before his death in May, Roger Ailes had sent word to Bannon that he wanted to start a channel together. Bannon loved the idea: He believes Fox is heading in a squishy, globalist direction as the Murdoch sons assume more power.
Now he has the means, motive and opportunity: His chief financial backer, Long Island hedge fund billionaire Bob Mercer, is ready to invest big in what’s coming next, including a huge overseas expansion of Breitbart News.

I am talking about cable/satellite in the delivery sense. They are no longer needed to carry a channel.

fine for you, not me.

Who said they (Netflix) were? It’s available in almost every household. How is that since they’re not included in a cable or satellite bundle?
beginning a new news channel is the topic ... not some movie/entertainment channel
Andrea Tantaros would be good too.
Only available on the Internet for me right now.

:)
I’d buy in that IPO.
I am suggesting a direct public offering rather than an IPO. Takes out the middleman taking his cut and guessing what it might sell at. Particularly since in this case Banon is so famous that individuals would snap up his shares, without having to get some sugar daddy involved who would try to assert individual control.
Isn’t OANN on DirectTV?
Per yesterday’s discussion. This is the basis of the rumors. So far, it’s just multiple online “news” sources (in this case, Gateway Pundit) all quoting the original “source”, which is Axios. Axios is an offshoot of Politico, a progressive publication. Not a reliable source. So far, there are no named sources for this rumor. But, sometimes where there’s smoke there’s fire, and maybe we’ll get lucky this time. We certainly need this.
Totally agree, Matt! Totally agree!
BRING IT ON!
Amen to that. The troph wives want to be invited to the right parties.
Great Garrison.
I’d buy under that scenario too.
Bannon is rich, but he is not start your own tv network rich.
This would be a Mercers operation if it’s actually going to be a cable network.
Online would be a different thing, and frankly, at some point, everyone is going to have their own online network.
Mine will show nothing but Andy Griffith re-runs.
