Bannon Plotting Fox News Competitor As Curious Details Of Roger Ailes’ Involvement Emerge
The Gateway Pundit ^ | 08/19/17 | Joshua Caplan

Former Chief White House Strategist and current executive chairman of Breitbart News, Steve Bannon, is wasting no time in expanding the leading populist news network. Bannon is reportedly plotting a television channel to rival Fox News. Strikingly, the idea was first proposed by former Fox News CEO, the late Roger Ailes.

Axios reports:

Axios’ Jonathan Swan hears Bannon has told friends he sees a massive opening to the right of Fox News, raising the possibility that he’s going to start a network.

Axios has more:

Before Roger Ailes’ death on May 18, he expressed a final wish to some of his few remaining confidants: to get back in the game, with a conservative network that would position itself to the right of Fox News, as his baby became more moderate under the next generation of Murdoch leadership.

In his final days, Ailes sent a message to Steve Bannon in the White House that he’d love to team up on a new conservative media powerhouse.

Ya know, I don’t even watch FOX news hardly anymore, maybe a little Hannity and Dobbs on the biz channel, Tucker is ok but needs a little work still.

As I have suggested elsewhere, instead of looking for a gazillionaire sugar daddy, Banon should raise capital through a direct public offering. $20 per share x 1 share per 65 Million Trump voters is $1.3 B. Mileage may vary, but I would consider a few shares the most effective campaign contribution I ever made in my life, by far.

It’s been tried by Paul Weyrich back in the early to mid 1990’s. Weyrich came up with a network called National Empowerment Television and it really was great. He’ll have to watch very closely who invest & sits on the B.O.D. if there is one or he’ll find himself voted out like Weyrich was. That was when the Libs took over that network and Weyrich lost all say. The fewer persons involved in ownership having say with the same goals and agenda the less likely the Libs are to manage to take it over. N.E.T. was later named Americas Voice with the likes of Bob Beckel, Ellen Ratner, etc as co-host of what started out as a Conservative based network.

Huge project but I'm totally for it. Fox is in the trash heap and will totally crash if the best is brought over to this new channel.

Yes sir. Not a big fan of O’Reilly either, but would love to see The Grand Bloviator back on the air...especially in anti-Fox mode.

Do you have any idea what Hannity is worth? $80 million. He doesn’t need the money.

Hannity has more money than he’ll ever need. He has higher motivations that making the most possible money.

What about personal threats to his family? Don't think it can't happen.

If the purported channel is not national and not picked up by the cable/satellite carriers then it is dead in the water - potential audience too small to sell ads and so not a profitable or even a break even venture.

The opening to the right of Fox News gets larger every day.

I'm really likeing One America News Network, which I began receiving when I abandoned the price increased at TWC/Spectrum, and jumped ship to the DeathStar, AT&T.

I hope Bannon will get involved there.

Can’t say I understand the reasoning of the pu$$ywhipped Murdoch boys. The leftward shift will NOT garner them a single viewer on the left, as the Fox brand is trashed among extremists. The shift is alienating core viewers who will quickly gravitate to the “new” Fox, whatever it’s called. With an alternative, Fox News will rapidly descend below MSNBC

Wanna help?

Cut your cable tv and tell the cable company you will be back when they offer a la carte.

End the Left Media Cartel.

The cost of cable is forcing people whose income levels are below mine to look for alternative means like Dish or Netflix to replace their cable channels.

I have to look at rising expenses every month, especially food which has risen at 15 percent a year increments in recent years.

So I will likely be forced to look in a different direction as well in the months ahead.
