Agreed. That weird reckless interview did him in. He did fine when he kept his mouth shut, but he couldn’t resist bragging.
Bannon was the last one pushing the agenda.
Trump is finished. He’s surrounded by Dems and Rinos

I was wondering why Lou Dobbs went ballistic on Bannon on his Wednesday show.
I’ve never understood the worship of Bannon. I really don’t know anything about him except that he was an enthusiastic Count Copulot supporter.
That would be an immediate disqualifier in my book.
I agree with you that Bannon’s counsel was essential to accomplishing Trump’s dreamed agenda and that his thought-to-be-off-the-record chat with a reporter (uh huh sound familiar - Scaramucci?) was overly bold and self laudatory.
The comment about Korea and our hands being tied was a breach of classified war plans. He also talked about the people he was going to clean out and I believe he even mentioned names!
I strongly suspect that he knew that he was done and he was only taking a victory lap, laying down his raison de etre for being in the White House, and giving his friend Trump a bunch of valid reasons to can him (to tamp down the Trumpsters’ anger).
Reminds me of the last scene in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid movie.
This video clip will nauseate you as it is from the Left, but it does detail where Bannon tripped up and what he said:

If he submitted the resignation letter on August 7 (as is beiong reported), then the interview was just a “parting shot” from a man who was already free of the restraints of the past 8 months ... rather than being the cause of his leaving ...
