If true Trump could not have picked a worse possible time. The base is in a rage over being called “White Supremacist” by the Media, and if Trump did fire him, its a conformation to the press, “you know, you may be right”. Worse timing ever.

Yes, terrible timing and it is being reported that Bannon is out, effective today. The weekend will be full of reports that "we got him" and Trump is guilty of everything they have been saying. Regardless of the reasons, the firing could have been better managed. I wonder what effect this will have on next week's rally. Trump really needs a lift and a very large enthusiastic crowd could help. I was actually hoping that he would tell his base that he needed their help and prepare them to be called into the streets to get Congress and the GOPe leadership to support his agenda, and to combat the current talibanization of the US over Confederate monuments (and more with Lincoln being targeted).
The left (MSM, RINO's, etc.) have been bashing Trump 24X7 for six+ months now over Russia, Trump's "racism", Trump's anti-gay agenda, Trump's Islamphobia, Trump's whatever. There has been little in the way of tangible results when it comes to effectively combating all that crap.
Perhaps Trump is tired of waiting for his "strategist" to come up with a strategy that actually works to end that crap.
