I’d have a lot more respect for this woman’s point of view if she went to the Arabian Peninsula and called out the King of Saudi Arabia for allowing the practice of slavery to exist in his kingdom. But that would take real moral & physical courage. Statues dont cut your head off for getting out of line.

Confederate soldiers, sailors, and Marines that fought in the Civil war were made U.S. Veterans by an act of Congress in in 1957, U.S. Public Law 85-425, Sec 410, Approved 23 May, 1958. This made all Confederate Army/ Navy/ Marine Veterans equal to U.S. Veterans. Additionally, under U.S. Public Law 810, Approved by the 17th Congress on 26 Feb 1929 the War Department was directed to erect headstones and recognize Confederate grave sites as U.S. War dead grave sites. Just for the record the last Confederate veteran died in 1958. When you remove a Confederate statue, monument or headstone, you are in fact, removing a statue, monument or head stone of a U.S. VETERAN.
18 U.S. Code § 1369 - Destruction of veterans’ memorials (a) Whoever, in a circumstance described in subsection (b), willfully injures or destroys, or attempts to injure or destroy, any structure, plaque, statue, or other monument on public property commemorating the service of any person or persons in the armed forces of the United States shall be fined under this title, imprisoned not more than 10 years, or both. (b) A circumstance described in this subsection is that— (1) in committing the offense described in subsection (a), the defendant travels or causes another to travel in interstate or foreign commerce, or uses the mail or an instrumentality of interstate or foreign commerce; or (2) the structure, plaque, statue, or other monument described in subsection (a) is located on property owned by, or under the jurisdiction of, the Federal Government.

Many of the slaves at Mount Vernon were not his slaves but slaves inherited by Martha, and he had no legal authority to free her slaves. He provided for his own slaves to become free at her death but also wanted to avoid breaking up families—and some of his slaves were married to some of her slaves. It was a complicated situation since he also needed to figure out a way that the former slaves could make a living—in an economy very inhospitable to free black workers.
The leftists/globalists have made slavery the “original sin” of the United States of America. Since our national sin is original, there is nothing that we can do to assuage it (e.g. emancipation, civil war, civil rights, etc.), short of being “born again”. How does a nation become “born again”? Only by being destroyed and then rebuilt as a communist utopia!
The truth is that United States of America is among the least culpable for slavery in the entire world! Fewer numbers of African Slaves came to North America than to Asia, Africa, or South America. We fought a massive war to end slavery and participated in stopping the international slave trade that the Muslims perpetuate!?!

In this case we are looking at repeating a lot more than just the Civil war. Rome is burning and Cesar is on the way to ‘save’ it.
Dictatorship is our most likely fate, althou i must admit if we do split up we stand a far better chance of preserving liberty thou intrastate competition. Some states will do better than other at resisting dictators, and the ones that do will remind the ones that don’t what they lost so that they can reclaim it.
