Why does this slander of Pershing - who was really a man far far far ahead of his time - keep coming up?
I mean, the President is basically praising him for being a war criminal - which he certainly was not.
Where are you getting this "War Criminal" stuff? I don't see how any of the things that his forces were said to have done constitutes a "war crime."
I've seen video of captured combatants being summarily executed by an American firing squad in the Philippine insurrection. That is how things were done in those day.
I mean, the President is basically praising him for being a war criminal .....Under whose rules? He was fighting back when war was NOT a gentleman’s game (as it NEVER has been).
