There is a lot of things starting to drop...

DOJ is demanding 1.3 million IP addresses related to a Trump resistance website.

This stems from prosecuting the more than 200 rioters that were arrested in DC on Inauguration Day. These are federal charges folks, and the DC US Attorney is pursuing them.

The web hosting company, DreamHost, is challenging the warrant. There was supposed to be a hearing on the challenge today.

I'm looking for news of this hearing - will post anything that I find.

Here’s the latest I could find:

http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2017/08/15/543782396/doj-demands-files-on-anti-trump-activists-and-a-web-hosting-company-resists

Nothing about the hearing that was supposedly held today. The DOJ won’t comment except via court proceedings, so I guess we’re waiting for DreamHost to blog again.

The website in question is DisruptJ20.org.

This article has a lot more info on the warrant and the challenge, though it’s predictably slanted given the source.

Remember folks, this is not a government fishing expedition into a website that is simply expressing dissenting views.

This is a warrant pursuant to almost 200 ongoing investigations into the Inauguration Day rioters.
