When is the Art Community going step forward and put a stop to the destruction of works by great artists from another era? Artists who felt much closer to the pain and affect the Civil War had on our nation than anyone alive today can claim. Sometimes monuments to war, are reminders to not let it happen again. That’s the way I have always looked upon any Civil War monument or memorial, Union or Rebel. Maybe the reason they commission great artists to create these monuments is so they won’t be destroyed by politicians and the masses they control. Where is the Art Community?

“Where is the Art Community?” Enjoying afternoon apertifs of course. “Let the rabble destroy themselves and we’ll have some work to do when they’re done.” (using a haughty tone of course)
