You know, I thought it was funny when Granny on the Beverly Hillbillies railed about them damn Yankees.

All this stuff is just really stupid. And not very funny.

Asa Candler bought out Pemberton for the rights for Coca Cola for $2,500. His nephew, Milton Candler, started the second Coca Cola bottling plant in Corinth, Mississippi, that is still in operation today.

It triggers me to think of all the Coke I have drunk. Coke has sponsored high school scoreboards all over the US. I demand they be torn down, an apology issued, and reparations for my newly discovered outrage.

Carver was born a slave in Newton Co., Mo., owned by a white man named Carver. At first he was known as “Carver’s George,” but later used Carver as his surname. I think the “Washington” part was added much later.

Replace coke with peanut butter...
Split the difference.

See how much rich history is lost if we just tear down the symbols?

My great-great-grandfather lived in Newton Co., Mo., in 1860. Once I checked a topo map to figure out where his farm was located. About a mile away there was a marking for George Washington Carver's birthplace.

I don't think George Washington Carver's birthplace gets as many visitors as George Washington's birthplace. Kind of out of the way.

RC Cola ALSO has roots here in Columbus, Georgia, and Pepsi’s roots are in 19th century North Carolina. We can only conclude that the creators of all the major colas either served for the cause of the confederacy and slavery, or paid to feed its war machine. Must boycott ALL cola!
