Ulysses Grant was a slave owner. Remove any statues of him and change name of any entity named “Grant.”
I seem to recall that Gen. Sherman also owned slaves (or perhaps it was his wife).
I was not aware of that. I thought he had a couple failed businesses after getting out of the military.
I didn't believe you and had to look it up. You are technically correct. But in Grant's defense, he acquired a single slave from his father in law in 1858 and freed him in 1859 instead of selling him for profit. At least according to Wikipedia...
