The State and Governor of Virginia, and the Mayor & police Chief of C’Ville conspired, under color of law, to deny the First Amendment rights of the original, permitted protesters.
As did BLM and antifa.
Sessions and the DOJ needs to poke at THAT hornets nest. There justice will be found.
Nazis have been marching in Skokie, IL for 40 years. It pisses a lot of people off BECAUSE THEY ARE NAZIS. However, they were afforded protection because a court decided it was their RIGHT under the First Amendment.
And that is what this fight is about. And that is what Trump needs to be talking about...with the ACLU at his side.
It *is* their right.
Nazis used to march in Sharpsburg MD occasionally and everyone lost their minds over.
I made a comment in the local newspaper, that if attention is what fed them, starve them.
So the next time, fewer ‘outraged’ people showed up.
And so on, with every march...and fewer Nazis because without the crowd, they just looked stupid.
Eventually, there was one lone Nazi pathetically tromping down main street, with no one there who cared.
Case in point, me and my biker posse were sitting outside the local Sheetz, talking and there were two dykes nearly humping each other inside the store.
This desperate display went on for nearly 20 minutes.
We laughed amongst ourselves and then ignored them.
They drove away angry.
Didn’t get to “make a scene” like they wanted.
Possibly a profitable one, I assume, if Sheetz had not “protected their right to public sodomy”, in case anyone gave a crap enough to remark upon it.

The proper response to loathsome (but legal under the 1A) free speech demonstrations is either to pay minimal attention or to hold peaceful, strategic and SEPARATED counterprotests—which in the C-ville case were not only complete FAILs; but also it is likely that the funding and incentivization of both sides were done by the same shadow activists, deliberately.
"Resistance" to a duly elected sitting president is insurrection and should be prosecuted at the highest levels, most certainly the financiers and highest-level planners, not just the useful idiots on the street.
