Likely a scam. These stories are constantly popping up and end up getting discredited every single time. Usually turns out to be a mentally disturbed person seeking attention.

Think about it, even if a customer truly felt that way, they would not be stupid enough to hand-write their sentiments on a receipt that can likely be traced back to them. Not with social media being what it is these days!

And the retraction comes weeks later and is usually very tiny.
